This is a wheel-thrown porcelain espresso cup. It has been decorated by hand with blue underglaze in a pattern inspired by embroidery and thread work. It has been finished with a clear glaze.

Individually handmade, each cup will vary slightly in size and dimension. The decoration is applied entirely by eye, using only a rough pencil line as a guide, which burns off in the glaze, ensuring that no two cups are precisely the same.

These cups are designed to hold a double espresso.
